7th Grade Science

Hello there.

We are going to finish our cell cards this week. So, it is time to ask ourselves what do you we understand about cells and their organelles so far and what questions do we have.

So, this is your assignment on the blog this week. I would like you to share what you have learned about cells and their organelles so far, and to make note of questions you have as you work through your cards.

Please post your responses by Thursday this week.

What I learned about cells -
    • I learned that their are two different kinds of cells, plant and animal.
    • Organelles are inside cells
    • There are many different kinds of organelles.

    I also wonder-
    • Is fire made up of atoms?
    • Are dead leaves made up of cells, dead cells, or atoms?
    • Is bread made of atoms or cells?
    • Do all cells reproduce?
    • Do bacteria have a instinct to attack larger cells?
    • How do vegetables reproduce without seeds?

    What I learned about cells-
:the two types of cells animal and plant
:the 18 orginals and how they work

    I wonder-
:if you die are you still made up of cells?
:are there more than 18 organals?

    Cells are very interesting.

    This is what i learned.

There are plant and animal cells
There are many different kind of cells.
    Organelles are inside cells

I wonder if certain plants have different plant cells then other plants

    CELLS

What I learned about cells is that they can be plant, animal or both. Ex: the cell membrane is both. I like looking at the different cells. I never knew that if one didn’t work then the cell wont work.

I would like to know how many cells igsist. I also want to know how many cells are in me.

    Hotdawg911 Cells

Learning about cells is very interesting. I’ve learned many things, and would like to learn more. I learned that there are many organelles that make up cells, and that some only make up plant cells, or animal cells, while other make up both. I also found out that all the cells, no matter how small they are, help in their own way. I would like to know what make up atoms, and how many organelles there are in all.

I learned many interesting things about cells. I learned about how they function and how each organelle has a specific function that helps the cell run. I learned about how there are two types of cells, plant and animal. Also, I learned how there are some organelles that are only in one type of cell. For example chloroplasts are only in animal cells. Another thing I learned is that the organelles all have a place that they take up in the cell. I never thought that cells had so many different parts inside them. I just thought, a cell is a cell.

Some questions I have about cells are: If there are more than 18 organelles what do the rest of them do and where in the cell are they? If a cell is dead does it still have working organelles inside it? Are some functional cells missing certain organelles? Is it possible for a cell to function if it is missing organelles it is supposed to have?

    To purplepower94:
I liked your post. Please note that chloroplasts are in plant cells, not animal cells. They are the place where photosynthesis happens.

Oops. I meant to say that the chloroplasts were in plant cells. That was a mistake. Sorry.

    Cells

    I learned that:
there are two different kinds of cells, plant and animal.

    there are many different kinds.

I would like to know why Brain Cells are moe rare than other cells in our body.

Also, If the air is made out of atoms and you shot a bullet through the air, what would happen to the atoms?

Give a Shout-out and Yell to Cells and Organelles!

I have learned that an organelle, though each one is very different they all serve a purpose i working the cell. Like in a big business there are many people keeping it running but they don’t all have the same job. Some file, some are the boss, some are the assistant, some ship, etc. But they are all important and the business can’t run without them.

I still am confused about how cells are created!

I learned alot from this cell project. I learned what 18 different organells do. I learned that some organells are only in play cells and some are only in animal cells and some are in both. My favorite organell is the nucleus because it is like the brain of the cell. I found it interesting that the whole cell coulldn’t work if one organell wasn’t working. I still wonder how cells and organells are created.

I learned that cells are the building blocks of anything thats alive, I also learned that animals do not have all the parts of cells that plants have, I also learned that there are a lot of different organelle types.
    I only hve two questions:
    1. when you die, do all the cells inside you die?
    2. is water made up of cells or atoms, and if it is made up of cells do the cells freeze when water freezes?

    What I learned about cells:
1.I learned that there are two different kind of cells
2.I learned that cells are not body parts
    What I wonder about cells:
1.I wonder that if cells are ot alive, how do they do so many things?
2.I wonder how strong a microscope has to be to see cells and if different kinds of cells are harder to see.

    What I learned about cells:
    1. There are two diffrent kind of cells
    2. there ar 18 organells

    What I wonder:
    1. are there more types of cells?
    2. can cells freze?
