Welcome to Mr. Ardito’s class blog.
This is the place where we will have a chance to have ongoing discussions about various things. And a place where you can talk to one another about science and other things.
I look forward to our working together this way.

I thought that the Audubon trip was interesting. I found out alot about different animals that I either didn’t know or that I didn’t know much about. We (classmates and I) thought that we were going to see live animals, not birds and small insects. We were kinda disapointed! I think to make the trip more interesting in the fun sense we should do more fun things like maybe watch a movie or things like that. OTHER THAN THAT .. it was okay ..i give it a out of 5 starss..

I thought it was a very interesting trip. The part I enjoyed the most was looking in the bins, looking at and identifying the organisms. Though, one of the downsides was that most of the teachers at the center talked to us and treated us like younger kids. All in all, it was an okay trip.

I enjoyed the hiking, and finding out about animals I had never seen before. What I did not like about the trip was that I had expected to see more wild life.

I enjoyed the trip because of the river and pond animals.

The unmanned X-43 A broke a record for fastest air breathing jet. It traveled at the speed of 5000 mph. It does that by using a scramjet.
I think the author did a good job writing this article but I think it could be more detailed. If I didn’t know that much about jets, I would not understand what s scramjet does or what it is. The article was pretty cool though and I hope that pasenger jets use scramjets so I could go super fast. The author also should have explained more about the difference between a regular jet and a scramjet. He did a really good job explaining the jet. I don’t get how a 12 foot plane can go 100,000 feet in the air and go 5,000 mph in 11 seconds.

Teaching to reach every single student » Five Weeks Later (it just seemed like six)

[...] I have been using a classroom blog with my 7th and 8th grade science students for the past 5 weeks or so. It seemed to take so long to get started — finding the right blog hosting service, the right way to introduce my students to the idea, designing the right assignments, picking the right template, etc. But from the first post, the experience has been like being fired out of the proverbial cannon. [...]
